In this paper, a DC-bus microgrid, based on solar array and battery storage, is simulated and the control system is developed to operate the microgrid in grid-tied and islanded modes.
The yield and the losses of the microgrid systems are 4.57 and 1.37 h/d, respectively. Also, the value of the total losses is about 25% of the reference yield of 5.93 h/d. We also found that all the microgrid systems that are considered for Gusau community have the same values of normalized yield and losses.
